The Musical Concepts Book may be used after the student completes the Lesson Book to serve as an excellent review of important new concepts. Each of the 11 units consists of a two-page theoretical explanation and worksheet on a specific concept followed by an enjoyable solo to demonstrate and reinforce each new concept. With a teaching experience spanning almost 30 years and three different continents, I have taught in music schools and colleges as well as given private lessons to children and adults of every level. I am a member of the MTAC (Music Teachers’ Association of California), which means all my students are eligible to take Certificate of Merit tests, a great way to assess progress. I am dedicated to teaching students the essentials of piano performance, reading music, and discovering the joy of making music. Private lessons ensure that each student has my undivided attention and can therefore progress at a level suited to his/her needs.
