Palos Verdes Music House is proud to present a custom in-house upgrade to a select JS-400 guitar!
Our guitar tech Jeff has taken a beautiful Black Gold JS-400 and did a custom shop spin on it!

Higher pickup output with custom wiring: Jeff found areas to improve, and upgraded the wiring to vintage cloth garret wire, installed low-friction 25mm 500k A/B (Log and Line) potentiometers for a better tone experience. Replacing the OEM -0.0022 ceramic capacitor with a Paper in Oil capacitor, and 2x 470k resistors from the neck and middle positions bringing those pickups in a better tonal range. The humbucker output staying at 7.50k, but with ALOT more bite without being hindered by factory wiring specifics.

Gold/Black Guyker locking tuners for a better tune and stability during tremolo playing.

Guyker Red bone nut has been custom filed to spec.

Finally, Jeff focused on the neck: By installing threaded inserts gives it a true bolt-on neck with more stability than traditional wood screws. Jeff also gave it an Ernie Ball Music Man Axis treatment: 3 coats of Tru-Oil, heated to 100F, polished, and soaked in beeswax/orange oil gives the neck play areas that genuine Ernie Ball Music Man Axis feel that so many players are after.
