Dr. Lauren Bowman

Dr. Lauren Bowman has dedicated her life to teaching music and inspiring students of all ages. With over 25 years of experience in schools across California, she has taught every aspect of music programs — from band, orchestra, and choir to rock band, jazz, ukulele, piano, and music theory. She is passionate about helping students discover the joy of making music, develop strong technique, and gain confidence through performance.

Lauren’s approach blends creativity, discipline, and fun. She believes music is not only therapeutic but also a way to build community and bring happiness into students’ lives. She has personally studied piano with renowned instructors, including Dr. Konstantin Sirounian, and pioneered high school ukulele programs in California, earning recognition in CTA Magazine.

As a member of the Music Teachers’ Association of California, Lauren’s students can participate in the Certificate of Merit program, a great way to track progress and celebrate achievements. She enjoys guiding students at every level — whether they’re just starting out or looking to refine advanced skills — with lessons tailored to their unique goals and learning style.

Lauren holds a B.A. in Music Education, a M.Ed. in e-Learning & Technology, and is completing her Ed.D., bringing both academic expertise and real-world teaching experience to every lesson. Srimal de Mel

Piano & Improvisation Instructor (classical, pop, and jazz)

A professional pianist, composer, and producer from Torrance, Srimal (also known as “Dynamic De Mel”) has released three original albums and performed at respected festivals including the Reno Jazz Festival, the Washington Women in Jazz Festival, and the Central Avenue Jazz Festival. His real passion, however, is helping students discover their own musical voice.

Srimal teaches students of all ages and levels — from beginners learning their very first notes to advanced pianists exploring improvisation, composition, and jazz harmony. With over a decade of experience in classical, pop, and jazz styles, he gives students a strong technical foundation while making lessons engaging, creative, and fun.

Ann Grennan

Piano & Voice Instructor

Looking for a teacher who nurtures both skill and confidence in young musicians? Ann Grennan brings decades of experience, a deep understanding of the voice and piano, and a personalized approach that helps every student thrive.

Ann is a respected member of the Music Teachers’ Association, where she has served as President, and the National Association of Teachers of Singing. She has shared her expertise on the faculties of South Bay Conservatory, Orange County High School of the Arts, and the Norris Performing Arts Center.

Ann’s approach to teaching is guided by the belief that every student is unique. She combines her knowledge of the Alexander Technique and Feldenkrais Method with years of private instruction to help students develop healthy alignment, breath support, and technique. She tailors lessons to fit each student’s learning style — whether they’re aural, visual, or kinesthetic learners — ensuring every lesson is both effective and engaging.

In addition to technique, Ann emphasizes music theory, musical expression, and performance skills. Her goal is not only to help students play or sing well, but to create beautiful, confident, and expressive musicians who enjoy every step of their musical journey.

Kevin Patterson

Piano Instructor

Kevin Patterson brings both professional artistry and classroom experience to every lesson. A graduate of the California Institute of the Arts with a Bachelor of Fine Arts, Kevin combines strong musical training with a deep understanding of creativity and expression.

In addition to teaching at PV Music House, Kevin is a high school music teacher with the Los Angeles Unified School District and holds a teaching credential from California State University, Dominguez Hills. That means your child is learning from an educator who not only understands music—but also understands how students learn.

Dr. Marisa Solomon

Piano & Voice Instructor

Dr. Marisa Solomon brings decades of teaching and performance experience to every student. She holds a Ph.D. in Musicology, a Master of Music in Voice from University of California, Los Angeles, an MA in German, and a BA in Voice and German from California State University, Fullerton.

She has taught students of all ages—from four and a half to 80—and across a wide range of settings, including Pepperdine University, UCLA, Ventura College, California Lutheran University, Imperial Valley College, and the Latin American Bible Institute.

Her teaching covers private and group lessons in piano, voice, guitar, and violin, as well as music theory, ear training, and music history. She led Music for Little Mozarts and group voice classes at Amuse Music for 12 years and directed a Christian Mariachi ensemble at Mission Ebenezer Family Church for over 20 years.

With her culturally and musically rich background, Dr. Solomon inspires students to grow in skill, confidence, and a lifelong love of music.

Anna Fedorova-Latso

Piano Instructor

Russian-American pianist Anna Fedorova-Latso has been praised as “powerful and seductive” (Desert Entertainment) and admired for her “noble tone and expressive poetry” (Wiener Blätter). Trained in the Russian piano tradition from age six under Vera Gornostayeva and at the Glinka Nizhny Novgorod State Conservatory, she has won numerous international competitions and performed widely in Russia, Europe, the U.S., and Asia.

After postgraduate studies at the Prayner Conservatory of Music and Dramatic Arts in Vienna, Anna performs regularly as a soloist, chamber musician, and collaborator with the Vienna Residence Orchestra and Vienna State Opera. With her husband, pianist Giorgi Latso, she co-founded The Latsos Piano Duo, winners of the Beverly Hills National Auditions, performing major works for four-hand and two-piano repertoire internationally.

Anna combines technical mastery, expressive artistry, and a love of music-making in every performance and lesson.
