Srimal de Mel
Piano & Improvisation Instructor (classical, pop, and jazz)
Looking for a piano teacher who can inspire creativity and build strong fundamentals? Srimal de Mel brings both heart and high-level musicianship to every lesson.
A professional pianist, composer, and producer from Torrance, Srimal (also known as “Dynamic De Mel”) has released three original albums and performed at respected festivals including the Reno Jazz Festival, the Washington Women in Jazz Festival, and the Central Avenue Jazz Festival. His real passion, however, is helping students discover their own musical voice.

With over a decade of experience in classical, pop, and jazz styles, he gives students a strong technical foundation while making lessons engaging, creative, and fun.

He performs regularly throughout the South Bay with a variety of bands, bringing real-world performance experience directly into the lesson room — something students find motivating and inspiring.

Ann Grennan
Piano & Voice Instructor
Ann is a member of the Music Teachers’ Association, where she has served as President. She is also a member of the National Association of Teachers of Singing. She has served on the faculty of South Bay Conservatory, Orange County High School of the Arts, and the Norris Performing Arts Center. She has studied the Alexander Technique and Feldenkrais in order to better understand alignment and breathing issues for singers. Experience has shown her that the best approach to private instruction is individual assessment. Although some teachers profess to have a method, Ann has found that every student is unique and requires a vocabulary that fits their personal needs. No two students learn exactly the same way. Some are aural learners while others benefit more from the kinesthetic approach. This has resulted in a rich and creative tool box to draw upon when working with singers. Ann stresses the importance of learning music theory and presentation as well as creating beautiful tone.

That means your child is learning from an educator who not only understands music—but also understands how students learn.
Kevin’s lessons focus on building strong fundamentals, confidence, and a genuine love for music. Whether your child is just starting out or ready to take their playing to the next level, Kevin creates a supportive, structured, and inspiring environment that helps students grow musically and personally.
