PVMH Strings League – Beginner Violin
The Starfish Class is the youngest team in the PVMH Strings League and the perfect introduction to violin for ages 4–6. Inspired by youth sports like t-ball, this class focuses on fun, teamwork, and confidence-building while gently introducing foundational violin skills.
Students learn through movement, games, songs, and group activities, making music together from the very first day. Just like a team sport, children learn to listen to each other, follow cues, and celebrate progress as a group—no prior music experience required.

| Skill Details: | Starfish Class (Ages 4–8) – Skill Details Designed for first-time violin players, the Starfish Class gently introduces basic violin and bow hold, rhythm, listening, and simple musical patterns through games and movement. The focus is on comfort, confidence, and enjoying music together—no experience required. |
| Instructor: | Monique Nardone |
| Instructor Bio: | Monique Nardone began her formal training at an early age. Her professional studies include Violin and Piano. She received her Bachelor of Arts in Music Performance, with Honors in the Major from CSUDH. In her spare time, Monique enjoys performing with her electric violin in several bands throughout the South Bay. This versatility allows her to showcase her adaptability as an artist in Classical Crossover, Folk and Jazz. Monique is a member of the American String Teachers Association and a lifetime member of the Suzuki Association- Los Angeles Branch. |
