Dr. Lauren Bowman
Piano, Ukulele, Band & Orchestra Music Teacher

Dr. Lauren Bowman has dedicated her life to teaching music and inspiring students of all ages. With over 25 years of experience in schools across California, she has taught every aspect of music programs — from band, orchestra, and choir to rock band, jazz, ukulele, piano, and music theory. She is passionate about helping students discover the joy of making music, develop strong technique, and gain confidence through performance.

Lauren’s approach blends creativity, discipline, and fun. She believes music is not only therapeutic but also a way to build community and bring happiness into students’ lives. She has personally studied piano with renowned instructors, including Dr. Konstantin Sirounian, and pioneered high school ukulele programs in California, earning recognition in CTA Magazine.

As a member of the Music Teachers’ Association of California, Lauren’s students can participate in the Certificate of Merit program, a great way to track progress and celebrate achievements. She enjoys guiding students at every level — whether they’re just starting out or looking to refine advanced skills — with lessons tailored to their unique goals and learning style.

Srimal de Mel
Piano & Improvisation Instructor (Classical, Pop & Jazz)

A professional pianist, composer, and producer from Torrance, Srimal (also known as “Dynamic De Mel”) has released three original albums and performed at respected festivals including the Reno Jazz Festival, the Washington Women in Jazz Festival, and the Central Avenue Jazz Festival. His real passion, however, is helping students discover their own musical voice.

Srimal teaches students of all ages and levels — from beginners learning their very first notes to advanced pianists exploring improvisation, composition, and jazz harmony. With over a decade of experience in classical, pop, and jazz styles, he gives students a strong technical foundation while making lessons engaging, creative, and fun.

Parents appreciate that Srimal meets each student where they are. Whether your child thrives with structure, loves to play by ear, or dreams of writing their own music, he builds lessons around their interests while steadily developing confidence, discipline, and musical fluency.

Ann Grennan
Piano & Voice Instruction

Looking for a teacher who nurtures both skill and confidence in young musicians?

Ann Grennan brings decades of experience, a deep understanding of the voice and piano, and a personalized approach that helps every student thrive.

Ann is a respected member of the Music Teachers’ Association, where she has served as President, and the National Association of Teachers of Singing. She has shared her expertise on the faculties of South Bay Conservatory, Orange County High School of the Arts, and the Norris Performing Arts Center.

Ann’s approach to teaching is guided by the belief that every student is unique. She combines her knowledge of the Alexander Technique and Feldenkrais Method with years of private instruction to help students develop healthy alignment, breath support, and technique. She tailors lessons to fit each student’s learning style — whether they’re aural, visual, or kinesthetic learners — ensuring every lesson is both effective and engaging.

In addition to technique, Ann emphasizes music theory, musical expression, and performance skills. Her goal is not only to help students play or sing well, but to create beautiful, confident, and expressive musicians who enjoy every step of their musical journey.

Kevin Patterson
Piano Instructor

Kevin Patterson brings both professional artistry and classroom experience to every lesson. A graduate of the California Institute of the Arts with a Bachelor of Fine Arts, Kevin combines strong musical training with a deep understanding of creativity and expression.

In addition to teaching at PV Music House, Kevin is a high school music teacher with the Los Angeles Unified School District and holds a teaching credential from California State University, Dominguez Hills. That means your child is learning from an educator who not only understands music—but also understands how students learn.

Kevin’s lessons focus on building strong fundamentals, confidence, and a genuine love for music. Whether your child is just starting out or ready to take their playing to the next level, Kevin creates a supportive, structured, and inspiring environment that helps students grow musically and personally.

Dr. Marisa Soloman
Voice, Piano, Guitar & Music Enrichment Instructor

Dr. Marisa Solomon brings a lifetime of scholarship, performance, and joyful teaching to every lesson. With a Ph.D. in Musicology, a Master of Music in Voice from University of California, Los Angeles, and additional degrees in Music and German from California State University, Fullerton, Dr. Solomon combines academic excellence with a deep love for music-making.

She has taught students from age four and a half to 80, making her equally at home nurturing a young beginner as she is guiding an advanced or adult student. Over the years, she has served on the faculty of respected institutions including Pepperdine University, Ventura College, California Lutheran University, Imperial Valley College, and Latin American Bible Institute.

Dr. Solomon’s teaching experience is wonderfully diverse. She has led private and group lessons in piano, voice, guitar, and violin, as well as courses in music history, ear training, and music theory. For 12 years, she taught the beloved Music for Little Mozarts program and group voice classes, helping young students build strong foundations while discovering the joy of music. She also directed a Christian Mariachi ensemble at Mission Ebenezer Family Church for over 20 years—an experience that reflects her passion for community, culture, and expressive performance.

Dr. Solomon’s background is culturally rich and musically wide-ranging. Her students benefit not only from her impressive credentials, but from her warmth, patience, and ability to connect music to history, language, and life itself.

Anna Fedorova-Latso
Piano Instructor

Russian-American pianist Anna Fedorova-Latso has been praised as “powerful and seductive” (Desert Entertainment) and admired for her “noble tone and expressive poetry” (Wiener Blätter). Rooted in the great Russian pianistic tradition, she began her studies at age six and was quickly recognized by renowned pedagogue Vera Gornostayeva.

Anna trained at the Glinka Nizhny Novgorod State Conservatory, where she graduated with highest honors and received the prestigious Vladimir Krainev Foundation scholarship for outstanding achievement. A prizewinner in numerous international competitions across Russia, Greece, Italy, and beyond, she has performed as a soloist with the Nizhny Novgorod Philharmonic and throughout Europe, the United States, and Asia.

After completing postgraduate studies at the Prayner Conservatory of Music and Dramatic Arts in Vienna, Anna established an active international career. She performs regularly in Austria as a soloist and chamber musician, appears with the Vienna Residence Orchestra, and collaborates with artists connected to the Vienna State Opera.

Together with her husband, pianist Giorgi Latso, she co-founded The Latsos Piano Duo, recent winners of the Beverly Hills National Auditions. The duo performs major works for four-hand and two-piano repertoire, as well as rare transcriptions and 20th-century masterworks, and has been invited by legendary pianist Maria João Pires to perform at the Belgais Center for Arts in Portugal.

Anna brings to every performance — and every student — the depth, discipline, and expressive artistry of the great European piano tradition.
